This is a RC model of the MAS 562 of the WW2 Italian military marine that survived the war and passed to the Italian Guardia di Finanza in the fifties. The MAS 562 was a high speed torpedo boat of the third series, equipped with two strong Isotta Fraschini diesel engines, specialized in very quick attacks especially against submarines. Actually MAS stands for "Motoscafo Anti Sommergibili".
