    Description

    Salem Brass Ships Bell Clock with Helsman Wheel featuring a rare solid brass base with 8-day W-400 movement and winding key. Approximately 60 years old. This solid brass clock features a scratch free domed glass front that screws off for easy access to winding.  The case has been cleaned and lightly polished to maintain very nice age related patina of the brass. The dial face has been polished and the movement has been cleaned, inspected & oiled. Can be set for silent operation from selector lever on front of dial. This clock keeps excellent time, but as an antique, minor adjustments may be needed after shipping, instructions included.  Measures 8" tall by 6" wide, and weighs 8 pounds. Strikes on the standard 4 hour ships cycle with the bell chiming properly on hour & half hour in nautical sequence as follows:
    1 bell – 12:30
    2 bells 1:00
    3 bells – 1:30
    etc.-------
    8 bells – 4:00, then it repeats every 4 hours
